The CDC has advised that as of January 26, 2021 all air passengers traveling from a foreign country to the United States must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 3 days before their departure date when boarding their flight.
When do I need to get a test to travel to the US? And what kind of test do I need?
Get tested no more than 3 days before your flight to the US departs. Make sure to be tested with a viral test (NAAT or antigen test) to determine if you are currently infected with COVID-19. Also make sure that you receive your results before your flight departs and have documentation of your results to show the airline.
As of January 6, 2021 all air passengers, five years of age or older, will be required to show a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken within 72 hours of departure date.
In the event that a guest tests positive he/she will be able to stay in a cottage for the period that he/she needs to quarantine. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and equipped with Wi-Fi and cable television. Whilst regular housekeeping service will not be available in the isolation cottage, clean linen will be dropped off. Guest may order from the restaurant menu and the meals in disposable packaging will be delivered. We will extend a special concessionary rate for the duration of the guest’s stay.
The guest will have the option for hospitalization at one of three private medical facilities that have been set up for COVID-19 patients. He/she will dialogue directly with the doctor in charge and arrangements may be made for medical evacuation via air ambulance.
All other persons traveling with the guest who tested positive will be asked to undergo a PCR test and quarantine in their accommodation until the test result is returned. If the result is negative, they may discontinue the quarantine, however, if the test result is positive, the relevant protocols (as outlined above) will be implemented.
