Kemar Kinship
A ROUND HILL MOMENT BY MARGUERITE 2024
Employees are a company’s greatest asset, and the best tool for a competitive advantage. Treat them like they will make a difference, and they will. That’s what I call Kemar kinship. My husband and I have been married for 38 years and we’ve been blessed to have the opportunity to travel for all of them. We’ve done most of the Caribbean islands multiple times, we’ve cruised around Italy, skied Aspen, escaped winter in NY to Palm Beach, Florida, and spent many summers in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Our travels only brought us to Round Hill for the first time in November 2023. That’s when we discovered Kemar kinship.
We found ourselves drawn to the beautifully decorated cocktail bar where we half embarrassingly ordered a coke and a Diet Coke (not drinkers!). Kemar greeted us and the bond was almost immediate. From that first night onward, he never lost sight of us, read our minds, multitasked with a smile, and made our experience top notch. We returned nightly, likely his cheapest tab each night, but that didn’t matter. We shared family/life/health stories over our stay. He hugged us on our final night. Almost end of the story……
We returned on October 26th, 2024 to a bear hug greeting. This visit to Round Hill was even better than our first as we have now connected with so many other staff members - Junior, Owen, Joy, Shawndee, Ophedia, Markaya, Steve on the beach and on and on. This is why Round Hill is so special, the Kemar kinship, the connection to a resort that goes far beyond a lovely room with an ocean view. Of all the places we have visited, Round Hill is way high at the top of our list.
Keep up the good work Round Hill!
