My husband Mac and I got married at Round Hill almost a year ago on November 4, 2023. We had been looking for a destination wedding spot and weren't 100% sure where we wanted to get married. In June of 2023, we booked a trip to Round Hill to take a look and see if we could envision ourselves getting married there. Mac had always talked about how his great grandfather had a home in Jamaica years ago but we didn't make the connection until we were sitting in the bar at Round Hill - we were looking at all of the old black and white photos and Mac exclaimed "That's Gumpa!" There, on the wall of storied black and white photos, was a photograph of Mac's great grandfather with Adele Astaire. After doing some further investigation, we discovered that Mac's great grandfather had owned Villa 11 in the 1960s. It felt like fate that we had discovered Round Hill independently from this family connection! We decided to get married at Round Hill in November and had the most magical weekend with our family and friends. We stayed in Villa 11, my immediate family stayed in Villa 17, and our friends and other family members were scatted across various Villas and rooms. We started with a family dinner Wednesday night, a cocktail party at Villa 17 on Thursday night, a catamaran ride on Friday morning followed by an incredible rehearsal dinner on Friday night, and lastly a pickleball tournament Saturday am and the wedding Saturday evening. We could not have envisioned a more perfect weekend and frequently talk about how much we love Round Hill. We just had our first child 3 weeks ago and are planning a trip back to show him the special place where his parents got married and hopefully create memories as a family that will last a lifetime!
