My husband and I have been to Round Hill two times now, each incredible get aways. As parents of 2 young girls (now 9 and 10) who both work full time, each of our trips have been an essential time for us to remember that we are Lauren and Mike, husband and wife, and not mom and dad or coworker or anything else. We could reconnect, laugh, talk uninterrupted, and just be together.

One special memory I have of one of our trips was not some big event or new experience, but a quiet moment alone together. After a delicious dinner on the terrace, candle lit with a warm breeze, my husband and I took a nice walk back to our room. With glass of champagne and cold beer in hand, we strolled slowly, veering off course down to the sand. We walked along the beach hand in hand, and settled into 2 cozy beach chairs. Since it was evening, there was no one around. We had complete privacy and perfect view of the bright stars. We could hear the fun sounds of the live entertainment in the distance and a calming drum beat that seemed to marry with the lapping waves. We just sat there, together, listening and watching the stars. No where to be, no one who needed us, nothing to do. It was so peaceful and filled me with such love. I’m grateful for that moment and then millions of others my husband and I shared visiting Round Hill.
