The story of Round Hill begins in the early 1950s with a dream and a profound love for Jamaica. While the island was already known to a discerning few, founder John Pringle and his famous model wife Liz imagined something entirely different: a sanctuary where the world's most glamorous, talented, and influential people could escape. Conceived as an elevated interpretation of the boutique resort, Round Hill was designed to feel intimate, rarefied, and deeply personal.
Pringle, a devoted Jamaican, discovered a spectacular, 100-acre peninsula in Montego Bay, once a pineapple and coconut plantation. It was, quite simply, the most perfect canvas for his vision: a luxurious paradise, a true home away from home. Liz’s presence drew the world’s leading photographers, who came to Round Hill for the latest fashion shoots, capturing her and the breathtaking backdrop on film.
