Nestled halfway up the hillside, Luxury Villa 11 truly makes the most of its sweeping Caribbean view – ensuring you can see it lying in your bed, gathering for mouth-watering breakfast in your semi-enclosed dining area, and lounging in the living room. Featuring 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a sprawling 3,000 square feet of living space, this iconic villa was the location where 20th Century Fox’s “How Stella Got Her Groove Back” was filmed, starring Angela Bassett, Taye Diggs, and Whoopi Goldberg.
The luxury Jamaica villa was renovated in 2014 but has kept true to its original flair. The renovation added beautiful and unique features such as outdoor tubs and showers surrounded by lush vegetation – inspiring a truly romantic island atmosphere.
Villa 11 is the home to amazing art work from talented local artisans that can be found throughout the villa. Guests will enjoy admiring pieces from Barrington Watson, Errol Lewis & the late Gene Pearson.
This Villa is perfect for families and groups traveling together, as the three bedrooms and bathrooms offer ample space to spread out, and the private infinity pool is the idyllic social gathering place. Villa 11 accommodates up to 8 guests.
Villa 11 is kept by Senior Baker Gilling (Head Housekeeper), Dianna Brown (Housekeeper) and Ewin Lawrence (Gardener). They ensure guests enjoy a flawless and memorable experience while staying in Villa 11. Staff will spoil and pamper you and your cook will create the most sumptuous breakfast of your choice at the time that you would like.
“I find that guest loves the Jamaican breakfast options that we prepare here at the Villas. They especially love the Ackee and Saltfish, fried dumplin, and ground provision.” Dianna says.
Dianna remembers meeting a mother and daughter duo who were vacationing to celebrate the daughter’s birthday. The daughter was laid back and did not want to do anything for her birthday and told her mother on more than one occasion that she just wants to relax and enjoy her birthday with her. Dianna and the other staff members continuously heard the talks about the birthday and decided to do something for the celebrant. She recalls going out to purchase balloons and cake and also decorating the living space for the birthday girl. When she came outside and saw this she was overjoyed and became very emotional. She thanked them endlessly and wrote in the guest book that the staff made her vacation an amazing one.
Every guest that graces our island should experience the Bob Marley Museum. This is situated on the site of the legendary musician’s home. After Bob Marley’s passing, the house was converted into a museum six years later by his wife, Mrs Rita Marley. The main museum displays Marley’s personal treasures. The property also features a well-equipped 80-seat theatre, a photographic gallery, a record shop and a gift shop filled with a wide array of Bob Marley memorabilia.
